The Journal Yangtze River opens a Chinese column for CMADSViews:335times
In order to systematically summarize the application of CMADS in China. The Journal Yangtze River opens a Chinese column for CMADS, excellent research results will be published in year 2018. The China Meteorological Assimilation Driving Datasets for the SWAT model (CMADS) was developed by Dr.Xianyong Meng using various assimilation techniques and big data projection and processing methods. The CMADS was developed to provide high-resolution, high-quality meteorological data for use by the scientific community. Applying the CMADS can significantly reduce meteorological input uncertainties and improve the performance of non-point source pollution modelling, since water resources and non-point source pollution can be more accurately localised. In addition, researchers can employ high-resolution time series data from theCMADS to perform spatial- and temporal-scale analyses of meteorological data. We expect researchers aroundthe world to take full advantage of the CMADS due to its high spatiotemporal resolution, unified procedure (including latitude and longitude, and elevation),and reliable quality. The CMADS can be used to carry out studies of various distributed models (e.g. the SWAT and Variable Infiltration Capacity (VIC) models) andhigh-resolution climate verification and analyses. Given that meteorological data pertaining to East Asia are scarce, the use of CMADS can assist researchers globally to perform more efficient and effective scientific comparisons and in-depth investigations with a standard procedure.
